tenax ager Description

tenax ager

HI!

I posted here a while back about Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops that I had installed in my kitchen.  The edges of the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) are discolored and (http://maplered.com) faded compared to the top surface of the Stone (http://g603.net) .  It was suggested that I apply an ager (tenax ager) to the edges to enhance the color.  I decided to contact my fabricator again and (http://maplered.com) pursue the issue with them.  In my opinion, they should have been the ones to fix his problem.  After two months of going back and (http://maplered.com) forth with them, they finally came out yesterday and (http://maplered.com) applied tenax ager to the edges.  However, they did not remove the sealer that was already applied to the edges.  I inquired about this, but they gave me some roundabout answer.  I'm not the expert here, so I'm asking whether or not the ager would do any good if the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) was already sealed.  Wouldn't the existing sealer need to be removed BEFORE applying the tenax ager/sealer in order for it to be effective.  I do not see much difference in the color of the edges since the tenax ager was applied.  Is this likely because the existing sealer was not removed?  I do not see how the ager could penetrate the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) and (http://maplered.com) enhance the color if the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) is sealed already.  The fabricator said that I could continue to apply the tenax ager (I need to purchase some) and (http://maplered.com) the color might continue to darken.  Is this true or are they giving the me the run around?  I don't want to continue applying the ager myself if it is useless since the original sealer has not been removed.  Thanks for the info!
